					July 7, 2002 Caritas-DSM Launches Website Caritas-DSM is pleased and proud to introduce this website introducing Tanzania, its problems and its struggle to achieve a quality of life for its entire population. Tanzania is classified as a developing country and we are inviting you to join us in assisting a nation to build a just society with a quality of life for its people. Africa is going through a painful period of transition. It is not a part of the capitalist system of the world and is, therefore, on the fringe of the financial world. The communication highway is here in Africa. Tanzanians know how the rest of the world is living and want good things for their children also: sufficient food, clothing, housing, education, etc. Just like people in the developed countries they want a better life for themselves and their children. This web site has been created in an attempt to share with you the efforts being made by the Roman Catholic Church in one diocese in Tanzania to achieve the above goals. It is also offered as an invitation to you to contribute to this effort, thus becoming our partners in relieving human suffering.
